-: Day 01 - Delhi - Haridwar (230km-6hr) :-Arrival at Delhi and meet & greet with our representatives who will drive you to Hardwar, stopping en-route for lunch. Upon arrival, check in Hotel and rest of the day at leisure or explore the area. Haridwar: Savour the sacred city of Haridwar, take a dip in the holy river Ganges and explore the ashrams in and around Haridwar. Some of these Ashrams are recognized internationally as important centers of meditation, yoga and philosophical studies. In the evening, attend the prayer at Hari Ki Paudi, and savour the sight of ‘aarti’ ritual being performed on the ghats followed by return to hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
-: Day 02: Hardwar - Rudraprayag (175km-6hr) :-
After early breakfast, local sight seeing & temples visits followed by drive to Rudraprayag. Upon arrival transfer to hotel and later explore the town famous as the place of confluence of Rivers Mandakini and Alaknanda. Overnight stay.
-: Day 03 - Rudraprayag - Kedarnath (75km drive-14km Trek) :-Morning drive to Gaurikund, check into a hotel and enjoy some rest before starting trek to Kedarnath. Kedarnath: One of the 12 sacred holy Jyotirlingas of Kedar, situated 3585 km. above sea level with River Mandakini at its foot, Kedarnath is one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage destinations forming a part of the sacred "Chardham”. The great saint and scholar Adi Guru Sankaracharya enshrined Lord Shiva at this place, where snow covered peaks amidst natural surroundings adds to its beauty. An ancient temple believed to be build by the Pandavas stands next to the present main temple built in the 18th century by Adi Sankaracharya. Its walls are richly decorated with various paintings and carving depicting mythological incidents and deities.
According to the legends, the Panch Pandavas were seeking penance for killing their kinsmen in the battle of Mahabharata, and Lord Shiva in order to avoid them, took refuge here in the form of a Bull but was later recognized by Bhima who grabbed him by his hindquarters. The rear part of the bull is enshrined within the temple and the bump on the surface believed to be left behind when Lord Shiva dived into the ground is worshipped as the main site of the Kedar temples. Places to visit include Shankaracharya Samadhi, Chorbari, Gaurikund, and Tungnath. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel
-: Day 04: Kedarnath - Rudraprayag (14Km Down Trek- 75km drive) :-Proceed on the trek down to Gaurikund followed by drive to Rudraprayag. Upon arrival transfer to hotel for dinner and night halt.
-: Day 05: Rudraprayag - Badrinath (160km-6hr) :-Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath and upon arrival transfer to the hotel.
Joshimath: This is a "Math" or religious center built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th Century A.D., who performed penance and received enlightenment here. The name Joshimath is derived from it. The temples of Narsingh and Nav Durga are located here.
Badrinath: Regarded as the holiest of all four Chardham shrines, it is located between the twin mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan with scenic Neelkanth Mountain at its backdrop. Visited by millions of devotees each year, the place is called the abode of Lord Vishnu. The shrine was built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya along with three other shrines namely Rameshwaram, Dwarkapuri and Jagannathpuri to resurrect the lost prestige of Hindus. An important cultural place, Badrinath finds mention in the epic "Mahabharata" as the place from where the Panch Pandavas ascended to heaven-known as Swargarohini. There is also a cave at Mana where Saint Vyas is believed to have written the Mahabharata.
Places to visit at Badrinath include :Tapt kund: A thermal spring with a temperature of 130 degrees and believed to possess medicinal properties, the devotees take a holy dip here before entering the temple.
Panch Shilas: This constitutes of 5 blocks of historical importance including Narad sila-where Sage Narad meditated, Narsimha-a stone sculpture shaped as lion believed to be Lord Narshimha, Barah- shaped as a Boar, one of the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Garur- where garur, the carrier of Lord Vishnu meditated and Markandeya- the site where Sage Markendeya meditated to obtain eternal peace.
Narad Kund: Adi Sankaracharya recovered the idol of Lord Badrinath from Narad kund. It is a recess in the river sheltered by a rock which breaks the flow of the river enabling devotees to take a holy dip in the water. Brahma Kapal: Another sacred place at Badri, it is believed that as a result of blessing of Lord Vishnu, the fifth head of Brahma fell at this place after it was sliced by Shiva. Hence, the name is derived as Brahama Kapal (head of Brahma).
Neelkanth: Also known as "Queen of Garhwal”, it is a snow covered peak 6,598 meters above sea-level, providing a majestic view of the valley. This pyramid shaped peak is a popular tourist spot.
-: Day 06:Badrinath – Rishikesh (296km.-9hr) :-After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Rishikesh and upon arrival check-in at the Hotel. Later, a short tour of Rishikesh visiting Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula and adjoining temples followed by dinner & overnight stay.
-: Day 07: Rishikesh - Delhi (254km-7hr):-After Breakfast, drive to Delhi and upon arrival transfer to the Airport for your onward destination.
